In May 2022, a variety of communication channels were used to promote an online survey to Victorian government business suppliers. IBAC sought assistance from the Department of Treasury and Finance and Health Share Victoria to email a survey link to all registered suppliers on their respective databases.

In August 2022, a variety of communication channels were used to promote an online survey to employees working within Victoria Police. The survey was open to sworn police officers, protective services officers, and public servants employed at Victoria Police. In total, 1,001 Victoria Police employees completed most of the survey between 12 August – 1 September 2022.

In May 2022, a variety of communication channels were used to promote an online survey to employees working in local government. Direct communications were sent to all 79 Victorian local councils. Senior leaders were requested to share the link and encourage their staff to participate. In total, 2,471 Victorian local government employees completed a survey between 5-27 May 2022.

In May 2022, a variety of communication channels were used to promote an online survey to employees working in a state government department or Victorian public sector agency. Direct communications were sent to the nine state government departments, as well as 94 other major public sector agencies, particularly from the health, transport, and education sectors. Senior leaders were requested to share the link and encourage their staff to participate. In total, 4,405 Victorian public sector employees completed a survey between 5-27 May 2022.

More than 12,000 people participated in IBAC’s online surveys conducted in mid-2022. 4,405 Victorian Public Sector employees 2,471 Local government employees 1,001 Victoria Police employees 1,430 business suppliers to state or local government 3,000 Victorians aged 18 years and over. IBAC periodically conducts surveys to understand perceptions about corruption and police misconduct in Victoria. In 2022, IBAC conducted online surveys with state and local government employees, Victoria Police employees, suppliers and the Victorian community. Over 12,000 people participated.
