IBAC seeking new CEO

Victoria's anti-corruption commission will be looking for a new Chief Executive Officer, following a decision of the current CEO, Mr Alistair Maclean, to resign. Mr Maclean has led the organisation for the past 6 and a half years and will remain in the role until the end of the year.

Commissioner for the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission, IBAC, Robert Redlich QC, said: "Alistair has ably led IBAC from its establishment to consolidating the Commission as an agency that has significantly changed the integrity and anti-corruption landscape in Victoria for the better. He can look back with great pride on his achievements."

"Under Alistair's leadership, the IBAC has developed into an effective anti-corruption agency with significant achievements in building the corruption resistance approach of Victoria’s public sector, including Victoria Police," Commissioner Redlich said.

"After six years at the helm Alistair has determined the time is right for him personally, and for the organisation given its solid foundation and clear forward plans, to pursue other opportunities," the Commissioner said.

"I thank Alistair for his public service to the organisation and commend him on his contribution as CEO of IBAC, to helping make Victoria a better place."
