Two Victoria Police officers to appear in court following IBAC charges
Two Victoria Police officers are due to appear in the Frankston Magistrates' Court next month after being charged with assault by Victoria’s independent anti-corruption commission, IBAC.
The charges follow an IBAC investigation, Operation Mersey, into the conduct of the officers during an incident in the Southern Metro area in 2016.
IBAC commenced the investigation in February 2017 and subsequently charged the pair in December 2017.
Both officers are scheduled to appear in the Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 26 February 2018.
