IBAC charges Victoria Police sergeant with assault
The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC) has charged a Victoria Police sergeant with common assault.
The charges follow IBAC’s Operation Indigo investigation into the alleged assault of a young person on 13 November 2023.
IBAC is Victoria's independent body responsible for preventing and exposing police misconduct and public sector corruption.
Editors please note: As this matter is now before the Court, no further comment will be provided about the investigation.
