IBAC statement regarding Victoria Police conduct
As part of its legislated functions, IBAC regularly reviews the handling of alleged misconduct by Victoria Police.
IBAC is expecting a police investigation file relating to the conduct of police officers at the scene of a traffic accident involving the then Opposition Leader and his family in January 2013.
IBAC will be reviewing the file in accordance with standard practice. IBAC is not investigating the incident or the conduct of the Premier, Mr Andrews, or any member of his family.

IBAC inquiry into police conduct in the Victoria Police investigation of the Silk-Miller murders
IBAC confirms it is investigating allegations of serious police misconduct in relation to the investigation of the murders of Sergeant Gary Silk and Senior Constable Rodney Miller in 1998, on the basis of new information which has been received.
As this is now an ongoing IBAC investigation, for legal and operational reasons, no further comment can be provided.

IBAC research into Victoria Police employees' perceptions about corruption
Research released today by Victoria's independent anti-corruption Commission, IBAC, reports that almost half of Victoria Police employees who responded to a survey say they fear that reporting internal corruption will result in personal repercussions, with 18 per cent fearing losing their job if they report police corruption.
