Outcome of IBAC's investigation into the conduct of Victoria Police officers at the Hares & Hyenas bookstore in Fitzroy in May 2019
The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC) has completed Operation Lynd, an investigation into the conduct of Victoria Police officers at the Hares & Hyenas bookstore in Fitzroy that resulted in the serious injury of a member of the public, Mr Nic Dimopoulos, on 11 May 2019.

IBAC independently oversighting Victoria Police investigation into serious privacy breach
Victoria's independent police oversight agency, IBAC, has confirmed today that the scope of Victoria Police’s investigation into a serious incident involving unauthorised disclosure of a person’s private information at St Kilda Police Station will address issues IBAC considers necessary to restore public confidence and prevent future breaches.

Victoria police officer sentenced for recklessly causing injury following IBAC investigation
Victoria Police Officer Ross Fowler was today sentenced to a fine of $10,000 at the Melbourne County Court for recklessly causing injury following an investigation by Victoria's independent police oversight body, the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC).

IBAC confirms referral
IBAC today confirmed it has received a referral from the Attorney General regarding serious allegations concerning the conduct of public officers. This referral is currently under consideration.

IBAC confirms Operation Fortescue
IBAC, Victoria's Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission confirmed today that it is investigating serious allegations of corrupt conduct. IBAC's Operation Fortescue will examine a range of matters concerning allegations of ‘branch stacking’, and other matters aired recently in media reports, and other related complaints made to IBAC.

Victoria Police officer convicted following IBAC investigation Operation Ithaca
A former Victoria Police Sergeant, Robert Beckingham, was convicted and sentenced today at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court to a $7,500 fine after pleading guilty to a charge of unauthorised access to police information contained on the LEAP database that related to nine different persons.
